If it "POPS" with the masses, is it cultural?

From AC/DC to Yosemite Sam and everything in between, everyone of us has a favorite TV show, movie, song or whatever.  Whether it's a dramatic scene in a movie, a lyric to a song, or it's dad's favorite football team each one of us can identify with something that we can relate to in our lives.  Welcome to the world of Popular Culture, where we get our identity as a society.  Popular culture is everywhere and directs my thoughts, dreams and beliefs on a daily basis.  As things change in the world, I make changes to adapt.

Healthcare seems to be a hot topic for our society over the past few years.  Certainly popular culture can influence a person's attitude and belief about our current healthcare system.  There are books, documentaries and other sources that represent every side of the issue.  Using these resources would help me get a better understanding and see a bigger picture of the healthcare system, which would help one make a better decisions.

I thought it would be fitting with the Superbowl coming up, that I chose Superbowl Ads as my artifact.  Sometimes I think the ads themselves are more popular than the game.  You don't have to be a football fan to enjoy the commercials that are shown before, during and after the game.
